There are a number of tombs at the Saqqara necropolis. Here a number of young Muslim girls (students?) line up to get into one of these tombs. I am in line as well.. |

Inside there are some spectacular wall carvings and painting that depict life in ancient Egypt |

Two pics of the same images, one a little wider view, one gives a little more detail. The women carry produce in baskets on their heads and have farm animals on a leash. It may be that the large figure, usually the pharaoh is shows that large, is the recipient of those goods. |

Obviously, there was fishing and hunting going on as well. In Dendara, the Pharaoh is shown as the great hunter, here the subjects do the hunting and fishing. |
